I’ve never been a big Jennifer Lawrence fan, and I think it’s just because I couldn’t decide on my opinion of her. She was always just alright. Jennifer Lawrence is like the white bread of Hollywood. I wouldn’t describe white bread as my favorite food, but if I’m making a sandwich, hell yeah I’m using white bread.
Amy Schumer, on the other hand, is my hero. If I could be any woman on this planet, it would her. She’s hilarious, doesn’t give a shit what other people think of her, and is undeniably the hottest woman is comedy right now. What’s not to love?
If you didn’t already know, Jennifer and Amy are pretty much BFFs at this point. They were seen having a blast on vacation together earlier this summer, and have been inseparable ever since.
What started off as a fast friendship has quickly developed into more. No, they aren’t dating, although I would totally support my girl Amy if she decided to swing that way. They are writing a comedic screenplay together and plan to co-star in the movie, as well.
Jennifer Lawrence spilled the beans to the New York Times earlier this week, but she didn’t say much about the plot of the movie other than the duo play sisters.
From New York Times:
“Amy and I were creatively made for each other. We have different flavors. It’s been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up. I’m flying out tomorrow to see her in Chicago. We’ll write a little bit with her sister, Kim, who worked with Amy when she was writing ‘Trainwreck,’” said Lawrence.
If this movie is anywhere near as funny as ‘Trainwreck,” it’ll be a hit. I already know I love anything Amy Schumer does, but who knew Jennifer Lawrence could write comedy? It shouldn’t be too surprising, because anything Amy Schumer touches turns to gold. I guess now that list includes Jennifer Lawrence.
Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence might be the new Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, and I couldn’t be more excited to see where this goes. .
