Keeping Up With The Kardashians has been on television for almost ten years, and while some members of the family love being famous (Kim and Kris, obviously), others aren’t so keen on the lifestyle anymore.
Kourtney recently told the U.K. publication You Magazine over the weekend that she would be thrilled if the show that launched her and her sister’s careers ended. “I don’t want the show to end, but I sometimes think I would be so happy if it did,” she said. “I could just move away from it all.”
Kourtney might relish the thought of not being on TV anymore, but as an avid Kardashian fan, I think that news would send me into a deep depression. How will I keep up with the Kardashians without KUWTK? What are Sunday’s without the Kardashians? Yeah, okay, there’s that whole church thing that takes place on Sundays, but the Kardashians are my religion, and I don’t think I can live in a world without their hilarious antics and strong family values.
The oldest Kardashian sister says that she looks forward to the end of filming each new season. “By the end of every season I’ve had enough,” she said. “But then, once we have had a break, I’m ready for more.” Us too, Kourt. Us too.
Kourtney also admitted that despite being in the public eye for almost a decade, she’s still not totally used to being famous. “I still feel surprised when I’m recognized in the street,” Kourtney told You Magazine. “I forget that so many people know who I am and have seen me give birth.”
It’s so like Kourtney to just forget that the entire world saw her pull Mason out of her vagina with her bare hands. That image is permanently burned into my brain.
As much as the end of KUWTK would make Kourtney happy, I don’t see that happening anytime soon. Not while Mama Kris is pulling the strings. Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian have their spin-off show coming up surrounding their relationship, baby, and possibly their wedding. The Kardashian empire is stronger than ever before, so I’m sorry, Kourt, but it looks like you’re going to have to be famous for a bit longer. .
