People Magazine has confirmed that Leighton Meester and Adam Brody are engaged in real life. Like, this is not a drill. Blair Waldorf and Seth Cohen are getting married in. real. life. I can’t tell if my childhood dreams are coming true or being destroyed. I don’t know. I’m kind of in a glass case of emotion right now.
Meester, 27, and Brody, 33, apparently began dating earlier this year but have kept their relationship mostly under wraps. Fucking duh. Seriously, what have the paparazzi been so busy doing that no one caught onto this? Up your game, fellas. This is some grade A bullshit.
The two sneaky lovebirds worked together on a movie called “The Oranges” in 2011, which, much like their relationship, no one has ever heard of. It’s unclear what brought them together, but holy moly am I glad it happened. Or maybe I’m sad it happened. Again, I still don’t know how I feel about this.
We don’t have a picture of the ring yet, but I’m imagining that it’s probably everything. How could it not be? This is the real life Blair Waldorf. Girlfriend doesn’t settle. God. I bet Kirsten Cohen even helped pick out the ring. It’s unclear why Seth Adam didn’t wait for Chrismukkah to propose, but I guess some things are just too cliché for some people. Whatever. Sorry Summer and Chuck, bet this one sucks a big one.
In all seriousness, congratulations to the happy couple. Or not. I don’t know. I need some time to figure this one out.
