Nothing will make you feel older than having the realization that “All Star” by Smash Mouth was released almost 17 years ago, Kidz Bop is currently on album number thirty-two, and you no longer can take nine shots of vodka without puking (alternatively, you get hungover from two heavy-handed glasses of wine).
This weekend, another iconic event was added to the list of “shit that makes you feel old.” Lindsay Lohan visited Annie’s house from “The Parent Trap” a mere eighteen years after the movie was filmed. Talk about bringing back some old feels.
If you don’t feel like you’re in fifth grade again, learning *the* handshake and begging your mom to send you to sleep away camp then, well, your wrong. Was there anything better than thinking you had a secret twin in the world, eating Oreos with peanut butter, and trying (and failing) to pull pranks on your friends? No. There wasn’t. “The Parent Trap” was the blood and soul of our childhood, and Lindsay going back to the OG home is like restoring peace in the world.
After visiting her character Annie’s home in London, Lindsay admitted that despite the years passed she still remembers the exact address of Annie’s home (7, not 23). It’s no secret that our girl has had a rough past few years but sometimes all you need is a little trip back home to get you back on track. Or maybe that’s just because whenever I go home my mother doesn’t approve of me drinking in the house..
