Back in the old days, wasn’t it such a bummer when your middle school would host a secret, special guest and all that person turned out to be was the president?
It’s like, “Okay, we get it. Politics and shit. Where is Beyoncé?”
That’s how Madison, a little girl at a charter school in Washington, D.C., felt when President Obama surprised her class.
From the New York Daily News:
In a charter school classroom in Northeast Washington, the President was placed next to Madison, a sixth grader, in a group inserting toys into backpacks that homeless children will get as birthday gifts.
The schoolgirl told the President that when she learned there would be a special guest, she thought it would “be Beyoncé.”
“I really wanted it to be,” she said, “but then I realized it was gonna be you.”
“Malia and Sasha would feel the same way,” the President smiled.
Damn. That’s ice cold, Madison. Obama’s approval ratings are about to reach all-time lows, and you have to dig him like that? I feel you, though–Beyoncé would’ve definitely been better.
