As a child, and in some cases as a slutty adult, I remember dressing up as a princess any chance I got. Cinderella, Belle, Pocahontas, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, and my favorite Ariel, have all been imitated by moi. Most of us at some point have dressed up as a princess, it’s a genetic trait in every girl’s DNA.
Well, times have changed, and some kids are cleverer. A five-year-old, Ainsley, attended Princess Week at her dance class not as her favorite princess, but as a hot dog. Sarah Nativi, Ainsley’s dance teacher, said, “The last few weeks of dance class we let the girls dress up and this week was Princess Week, so we were expecting all of the girls to come in their princess dresses.” So while all of the other little girls dressed up as basic princesses, Ainsley wore her favorite costume, which just so happens to be a hot dog costume. Where she got that costume, we’re not sure. But it’s pretty freaking awesome that she loves food enough to dress up as it.

Nativi added, “She loves princesses, but wanted to be original and wear a hot dog costume instead. She wore a princess costume underneath it and said she was a princess on the inside!”
Nativi and her friend Grayson Lamontagne, who also teaches at the dance school, took photos of Ainsley in mid-May and tweeted them, and the pictures soon went viral. Lamontagne said, “I wanted to share the pictures first of all because it was so innocent and cute, and also because I was so impressed with how confident a little girl could be with herself to just wear whatever she liked the best. Her parents and I agree that it’s a great message for young girls and they are, as I can imagine, very proud of Ainsley.”
This little girl is going to do big things. She is a princess after all..
