I thought I’d died and gone to heaven when I discovered there were bottles of Diet Coke out there in the world with my name on them. It was like the gods of Diet Coke had finally recognized the thousands of dollars and lifetime devotion I’d committed to them and had opened up the heavens with this little reward of appreciation. It was truly a magical moment when I found that one special bottle with my name on it, and I thought no feeling could ever top it. I was right…until today, when I discovered that the same phenomenon is happening all over again, but with jars of Nutella.

No, this is not a joke. You can actually ask Santa for a jar of Nutella made with love. For £3.99 a jar, you can eat your feelings in Nutella without feeling bad, because when it’s a present (and it obviously is since it has your name on it) calories don’t count, right? That’s what I’m going with, anyway. It’s currently available in London’s Selfridges stores, but if the Coke phenomenon and the American Nutella craze are to be used as sales models, we can cross our fingers that American Santa will be able to pick up a couple (hundred) jars to leave under our Christmas tree this winter.
