Yesterday, at a fundraiser in California, President Obama praised attorney general Kamala Harris:
“You have to be careful to, first of all, say she is brilliant and she is dedicated and she is tough, and she is exactly what you’d want in anybody who is administering the law, and making sure that everybody is getting a fair shake,” Obama said. “She also happens to be, by far, the best looking attorney general in the country.”
Oregon and Illinois attorney general Ellen Rosenblum and Lisa Madigan, respectively, are pissed. Well, they haven’t explicitly said so, but I’m assuming that’s the reason the president is receiving so much backlash for his statement. That, or people really believe he is guilty of misogyny and sexual harassment, which is stupid.
I understand that maybe it wasn’t the most professional thing Obama could have said, but if we’re hating on him, this is hardly where I’m going to focus my energy. He shouldn’t have said what he did, but that’s mostly because attorney general Jack Conway is just as good-looking as Kamala Harris is. This was hardly “harassment,” in my opinion. Why are we so sensitive that it’s offensive to tell a pretty woman she’s pretty? Total bogus. I like being complimented.
If you want to see real harrassment, write for TFM for one day. Until being coerced for tit pics is all in a day’s work, I don’t want to hear it.
I say we just leave him be and let Michelle give him the verbal lashing he deserves, because she’s who should really be pissed.
