About a month ago a horrible car crash claimed the lives of four sorority women from the University of Georgia. And while the friends, family and sisters of those women continue to mourn, there is one piece of good news: the sole survivor from the car they were riding in has begun to awaken from a five-week coma.

21-year-old Agnes Kim, who was the driver of the car the girls were riding in, is “not yet fully conscious but definitely awake and alert”, according to an update on her YouCaring Page . Additionally, “Agnes will continue undergoing speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy with an additional activity-based therapy implemented just this week.”

Killed in the April 27th accident were Kayla Canedo and Christina Semeria, members of Alpha Chi Omega; Brittany Feldman, a member of Pi Beta Phi; and Halle Scott, a member of Delta Delta Delta. It does not appear that Kim was affiliated with a sorority; however, her Facebook page indicates she is involved with the UGA chapter of organization Cure International, “a Christian medical nonprofit with a mission to provide 100% physical and 100% spiritual healing to children, mothers, and the communities they belong to.”

Our thoughts are with Agnes as she recovers and with the family, friends and sisters of the women who were lost.
