You know what I hate? Racism. Hate it. Think it’s totally fucked up to have hate in your heart for someone because of the color of their skin, and totally disgusting to use words like the N-word to express that sentiment. I can’t even bring myself to say that word, because it’s so cruel. But hey, that’s just me.
Maybe not just me, but it’s not a sentiment everyone shares. It’s pretty common to sing fraternity songs and chants on the bus rides to off-campus venues, but not like the one OU’s SAE sang, blazer-clad this weekend. The words, as best we could transcribe them:
There will never be a n***er SAE.
You can hang ‘em from a tree,
But they’ll never [inaudible] with me.
There will never be a n***er SAE.”
Disgusting.
There’s no official word from the school or from SAE Nationals on how they plan to handle the situation, but our tipster alleges that the fraternity will be kicked off of OU’s campus..
SAE National president tweeted that the OU chapter at SAE is being placed on a cease and desist.
I know I speak for all when I say I'm disgusted and shocked by the video involving our @sae1856 chapter at Uof OK. They will be dealt with.
