If there are two things I love, they’re cute kids and awards shows. Tricia Messeroux and I must share this love, because she combined the two and created my new favorite thing about the internet: Toddlewood. The New York photographer takes red carpet looks from a variety of awards shows and then transforms these kids into perfect, adorable, miniature versions of everyone’s favorite celebrities.
Don’t fret — if you want to be the coolest babysitter, big sister, or aunt, Messeroux casts kids ages three to eight. That’s right, your pesky little cousin could be the next mini Taylor Swift. She also hosts birthday parties where you can roll up to the scene in a pink limo before having your photo shoot. I have to wonder: Where was this during my childhood, and is this acceptable for my twenty-first?
Personally, I can barely maneuver a curling iron or contour, so I definitely consider Toddlewood to be a masterpiece of artistry. Round of applause to the team of costume designers, hair and makeup artists, and production crew. Awards show season just got so much better..
