Does anyone else have a recurring dream where you’re walking through a magical never-ending Starbucks, where the Pumpkin Spice Latte doesn’t go out of season and people are constantly giving you compliments and puppies?
Well, that dream is (kind of) going to become a reality.
While the company hasn’t selected or announced an official location for a giant Starbucks, the New York Post reports they are on the hunt for a 15,000 to 25,000 square foot location to be home for their East Coast Coffee Castle. The new megastore isn’t going to just be a giant version of your run-of-the-mill Starbs, though.
They plan on modeling their NYC mega shop after the Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room in Seattle.
It will be a place for people to enjoy their regular coffee, but also allow them to play around with and try a variety of rare coffees and unique flavors combinations. Early reports spectacle it will also house a variety of other restaurants, a step away from Starbuck’s typical coffee house/cafe style.
Currently, those are going to be the only two, but in 2014, the company confirmed they planned on opening at least 100 similar stores all around the country. There is no word yet as to where these coffee shrines will be located or when they will be open, nor have they confirmed if these stores will finally atone the sin of having the Pumpkin Spice Latte only available during the fall.
But my dream is so close to a reality, I can practically taste the overpriced coffee drinks from here..
