Sometimes I think the Disney princesses led us astray and that dreams don’t really come true. After all, Adam Levine is both blonde and engaged. Then I realize that life is magical, because something like this happens: Lilly Pulitzer is teaming up with Hanky Panky to bring bright, patterned panties to your not-boyfriend’s bed. These are one pair of boy shorts you’ll have to make sure not to leave behind after your next shack sesh.
Let’s be honest. Dudes aren’t exactly Lilly’s number one fans, as they’d probably prefer to not see a lady’s body covered head to toe in a patterned print with every neon color imaginable. Luckily, boys prefer underwear on the floor rather than on your body, so I don’t think they’ll mind.
Before you pull out your Lilly wristlet to pay, pop the date into your Lilly planner, because you have some waiting to do. Lilly and Hanky Panky’s collection of lingerie will come our way in 2015. By then, you’ll be a graduate, which will allow you to purchase all the Hankys in the world without your parents questioning your obscenely large collection of tiny underthings.
The line of 11 styles will have a variety of underwear and daywear items, such as camis. They’ll sell from $28 to $92, because everyone knows a scrap of lace is worth a hundo dollars if Lilly is on the label. Lilly will house it, along with more than 75 affiliated stores. The collection will be unveiled in August, so prepare mentally and physically for the least sexy but most fabulous underwear ever. My body is ready.
