Rom Coms Are Porn For Women

Kiss

There has been a lot of debate in our office, like most offices, about porn. Is it okay for your significant other to watch porn? Is it cheating? Should you be jealous if your boyfriend is watching porn? Absolutely not. Porn is to guys as rom coms is to women.

It can be assumed that a majority of straight guys wish they had a girl with boobs the size of their head and waist the size of their pinky who would S their D whenever they snapped their fingers. Porn is what guys watch when they are trying to get in the mood. They are projecting what fantasy is running through their heads onto their screen. If they want a blonde, they can watch a blonde. If they want two blondes, they can watch two blondes. If they want three blondes that are knitting while each sitting on the face of a different blonde, then I’m sure they have that too. It doesn’t mean that’s what they want in real life, it’s just what gets them going when there isn’t a lady around.

Rom coms are what leads up to pornos. Girls watch porn, but they want a story, and that’s what rom coms give them. We want to imagine that we’ll drop our books and the man of our dreams will pick them up for us. We want to meet a mysteriously cute guy who makes us fall in love and then fuck him like a porn star, but we need to know how we got there. How did we meet? Who started the encounter? Why am I wearing a little schoolgirl outfit? It’s hard for us to get into a story with all of the details missing.

While eventually it leads to sex, that’s not what we want to watch. Full penetraysh is horrifying to watch. Experiencing in third person the amount that your body stretches is stomach-turning. Women do everything they can to avoid looking directly at the face of the man who is using her body to service himself. The mixture of pleasure and exhaustion is indescribably unattractive. But when we watch porn, we are forced to see it. When we watch rom coms, we can imagine whatever face we want to. Rom com sex scenes feature hot makeout seshes and little to no P-in-V action. Even 50 Shades made sex look substantially less animalistic.

Porn and rom coms are both surrogates for relationships that we wish we had in real life. Men and women use videos to escape their world for a little bit and explore their fantasies. While they are different fantasies, they are fantasies nonetheless. If we get mad at our boyfriends for thinking about bimbos they’d love to bang, they have just as much of a right to get mad at us for thinking about dudes we’d love to date. We can play out experiences that we would only keep in the confines of our mind. Besides, Ryan Gosling would probably be a drag to date anyway. Too much drama.
