Selena Gomez Is Going On A Career Break

24-year-old Selena Gomez announced mid-world tour that she’ll be taking a break.

We just found out last year that she has lupus and she’s been under media attack for her perfect body not being good enough (which is bull), not to mention all the drama she’s been dealing with surrounding her ex. Poor girl.

She spoke to People stating:

As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus. I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges. I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off.

I feel for Selena. Having a physical illness is one thing but to have so-called “silent” mental difficulties is a completely different and equally difficult experience. Go take a break, girl, and we can’t wait for you to come back stronger than ever! Also, can’t wait for that inevitable epic comeback album..
