If you thought nothing good was going to happen in 2016, until last night, I would have said you’d be right. However, thanks to the earth-shattering announcement just made, I’m actually starting to wonder if things might be ok after all. Sure, world peace and a two carat diamond ring would be nice, but until those things happen, the announcement that Sex and the City 3 is actually coming into our lives is the good news that will actually tide us over.
All four women have officially been confirmed to star in the sequel, and I can’t wait to see just how skeletal SJP’s face can possibly get. The script has been approved by the crew, and apparently we get a more mature look at the characters, which honestly, it’s about time. Filming will begin this summer, so hopefully our 2017 Christmas present will be a trip to the movies to relive the lives of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda.
Of course, with the quality of the last two movies, the chances that this movie will be an absolute train wreck are probably at least 90%. Is that going to stop me from seeing it? Absolutely not. Stockpile up on mini wine boxes to smuggle into the theater and gather your girlfriends, because the girls’ night you’ve finally been waiting for is actually going to happen..
