As soon as I see the first tank around campus, I know that it’s finally spring. To me, spring only means one thing — it’s finally acceptable for me to stop forcing down cup after cup of disgusting black coffee and get back to drinking what I love. Nothing says “warm weather” quite like drinking the caffeinated equivalent of a milkshake without shame, because the sun is shining and it’s technically coffee.
And thankfully, Starbucks agrees, because starting today until the first day of spring (that’s March 20, y’all), it’s releasing another very, very limited edition frappuccino flavor.
According to Refinery29, the new flavor is based on the Cherry Blossom and Strawberry Frappuccinos that have been available in Japan for a few years. People who travel aboard have been clamoring for a release of the drink in the US, because (apparently) it’s delicious AF. And it looks like Starbucks has finally heard the cries.
The Cherry Blossom Frappuccino will be available in the US starting TODAY. According to the company, it’s a “delicious blend of sweet strawberries and cream, striped with white chocolate sauce and matcha drizzle and topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of matcha.” And because Starbs understands the importance of exclusivity, the drink is only available for the next five days, so if you wanna try it, haul ass on over to the closest Starbucks location.
