Starbucks’ New Change Is Even Better Than A Drive-Thru

For many of us, a stop at Starbucks is a no-brainer. It’s easier and more convenient than trying to home-brew your own PSL, and with all of their new seasonal drink offerings on the horizon, you’d better believe I’ll be making a near-daily stop. However, stopping at Starbs isn’t without its pitfalls. If you’re hitting up the store during a busy time, you’d better expect to wait. A fifteen-minute line in the morning drive-thru isn’t uncommon, and on days when you barely have time to put on a bra, that might make or break your decision to be even later to class. Of course, there is the order ahead option via the mobile app, but honestly, 95% of the time I already know that I’m going to be too lazy to leave my car and walk into the store for my latte.

However, things at Starbucks may be about to change for the lazy girl for the better. Starbucks is officially testing a curbside pickup service at their Snoqualmie, Washington store. That’s right, with this service, you can place your order ahead with the mobile app, drive up to the store, and an employee will come right out to hand-deliver your skinny peppermint mocha and cake pop. You skip the drive-thru line and never have to leave your car. Is this heaven? I think yes.

This service is specifically being tested at the Snoqualmie location because it doesn’t have a drive-thru, so Starbs is hoping that it will begin to attract more lazy customers (like us) with curbside pickup. If things go well at this branch, you can most likely expect to see curbside pickup become available at your local Starbucks without a drive-thru, and maybe, if we’re lucky, will expand to all of the stores. I don’t know about you, but I’m personally willing to drive out of my way to a Starbucks without a drive-thru line for this service because I’m just that lazy. So here is a plea to all of our readers out there in Snoqualmie: buy Starbucks like you never have before. Show up for this service, put profits into Starbs’ already-filled pocket, and help out your fellow lazy girls nationwide because this is not just a service that we want, but one that we seriously need, and we need it now.
