Stop What You’re Doing: There’s A New Harry Potter World Opening In July

Gird your loins. Diagon Alley is coming to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter next month, and my body is ready. Even more fortuitously, it’s happening on my birthday. I remember when one of the books came out on my birthday, like, 100 years ago, and I’ve never felt so ancient. Luckily, I’ll feel young again once I’m summertime sipping a butterbeer.

Mark your planner, tell your friends, and kiss your poster of Daniel Radcliffe on the mouth, because July 8 is set to be the most magical day of the year. After years of dreaming, you’ll finally be able to ride the Hogwarts Express, which is even better transportation than a Nimbus 2000. I have so many questions. Does the ride come with your very own Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans? Will Ron Weasley accompany me? Inquiring minds, you know?

The new centerpiece ride will be Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, which looks beyond magical. It will double the size of the park, which makes it the perfect locale for a summer vacation. You can even explore the Gringotts Bank lobby, butterbeer in hand. This proves that childhood dreams really do come true (even if it is 100 later). Even better news? Harry, Ron, and Hermione will be at the opening, in case you were looking for the perfect venue to get Daniel Radcliffe to fall madly in love with you. After all, he and Ginny never really had any chemistry.
