Taylor Swift Is A Class Act, Serenaded A Young Cancer Patient This Weekend

Screen Shot 2014-08-04 at 2.53.00 PM

Whether you find her fantastic or fantastically annoying, you can’t deny that Taylor Swift has a good heart. On Sunday, she made a surprise visit to Boston Children’s Hospital, which is about an hour and a half from Swift’s summer home in Watch Hill, R.I.

This wasn’t just a photo op visit, either. Not only did she serenade 6-year-old Jordan Lee Nickerson with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” she also played air hockey with him, chatted with him about his interests (Play-Doh and Spiderman are pretty high up on the list), and according to a relative of Jordan’s who called into Boston’s KISS108 Monday morning, she took down his contact information so she could stay in touch.

Swift couldn’t have picked a more worthy kid to hang out with, either. Jordan is being treated at Children’s for leukemia, and when he was nine months old, he was also diagnosed with a rare, genetic disorder called Williams syndrome, which causes physical and developmental disabilities. To learn more about Jordan, to follow his story, and to see more pictures of him with Swift, you can visit his Facebook page.

Love her or hate her, you can’t help but be impressed.
