Taylor Swift is really feeling herself right now. She’s in the middle of her 1989 tour, she just won an Emmy (best Original Interactive Program for her AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience project), and now she might fuck around and add acting to her repertoire.
Mariska Hargitay AKA Detective Olivia Benson on Law & Order: SVU AKA Justice in Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video let it slip that the pop singer and new BFF could be joining her on the set this season. We’re going to wait until the end of the [“1989″] tour to see how it goes,” Mariska said. “But it’s in the air.”
Taylor Swift’s 1989 tour isn’t over until December, but considering that the season finale of SVU usually doesn’t air until May, it looks like there will be plenty of time for Taylor to make her first appearance on the small screen.
Obviously this is Taylor Swift’s dream come true, considering she named one of her cat’s after Mariska’s character on SVU. Weird? Yes. Completely. But that’s what makes her so “relatable” and “unique.” I wouldn’t put it past Taylor Swift to coerce the SVU writers and producers to let Cat Olivia Benson have a small role in the series as well. She’s got that whole crazy cat lady aesthetic down pat.
What kind of character would T-Swift play? A visiting detective? A witness? A dead prostitute? Crossing my fingers that it’s the last one.
I just hope her acting isn’t as bad as her dancing. .
