It’s the start of football season, and we couldn’t be happier. Tailgating, gameday dresses, tailgating, monogrammed everything, tailgating, Pinterest parties, and tailgating are what we’ve been looking forward to all summer long. However, if you’re anything like me, the one part of football that you actually can’t stand is, well, the actual sport. Ladies, your prayers have been answered. The gods of college football have opened up the heavens and blessed this sport with their most beautiful angel, Ryan Gosling. Or the next best thing, anyway.
Texas Tech’s new head coach, Kliff Kingsbury, made his debut this past weekend. I have no clue if he’s a good coach or not, but what I do know is that he bears a striking resemblance to Ryan Gosling. Tall, dark, and handsome? Check. Signature Ray-Bans? Check. Hair that only a Greek god could rival? Check, check, and check.
If I’m going to be forced to watch football, I can’t imagine anything better. We’ve spent too long being mocked by our boyfriends, brothers, dads, crushes, and male friends for not paying attention to the game, but no more. My eyes will be glued to the field (or the screen) waiting for this Gosling look-alike to show his face. I can finally truthfully say I’m actually looking forward to a football game for once without a hint of sarcasm. The only way to make this better would be to take out the middle man and put in Gosling himself. Will the team win? Probably not, but who cares! It’s Ryan Gosling on the field! Although, to be perfectly honest, we’re still talking about me being forced to watch an entire sporting event, so I’ll probably be too smashed to know the difference. I don’t know about you, but personally, I’ll be praying for rain and Kingsbury in a white shirt this weekend to see if he can compete with Gosling’s abs of steel.
Need more convincing? I’ll let these pictures speak for themselves. You’re welcome, ladies.
