Last night, I got dumped for the third time in a little under three months. My first mistake? Going out with three guys from Tinder, but you live and learn, ya know? I swore off dating, deleted all the apps, and cried in my bed with my plunging sense of self-esteem. BUT today I learned that Sarah Herron, who you might remember from “The Bachelor” is also on dating apps, and I felt slightly better. Except unlike me, Sarah’s being recognized as Hinge’s “Most Eligible Young Professional.” Whatever.
I know what you’re thinking, “what the hell is Hinge?”
Well lucky for you, I have all the answers! Hinge is a dating app, like Tinder or Bumble, but it only matches you with people within your social circles. Meaning SOMEONE in your current friend group will know your matches, so you can be positive you’re not going out with a psycho douche boy before you find out firsthand.
So now that we’ve all taken the time to download Hinge in hopes of escaping the fuckboy zoo that is Tinder, let’s get back to Sarah. She told People, “It’s cool to be recognized for not just being on a TV show but also for my professional standpoint.”
Sarah was chosen to receive this highest dating app honor because of her high swipe-right rates and her ambition/occupation. She’s currently an art director at an ad agency in LA and has been working on a campaign to help encourage teens to stop smoking.
Sounds like a 10/10 catch to me, yet with all the social dating app awards, she’s still single. So don’t get discouraged if you haven’t found your soulmate. And I’m talking to myself here, as my Bumble boyfriend broke up with me last night. You could be voted “Most Eligible Party Girl” or “Most Likely To Be Successful In 10 Years” on Tinder any day now..
