The Best Sex Of Your Relationship Happens Right After This Huge Milestone

Relationship sex is the best kind of sex, if only because you don’t have to shave your legs as often as if you were single. Sex in a relationship is sweet, loving, and intimate. It’s like comfort food for your lady bits.

While most sex in a relationship is good (if it wasn’t, you probably wouldn’t be in a relationship), the best sex happens after couples have been together for one year. According to a study, titled “Does Sexual Satisfaction Change With Relationship Duration?,” people were happiest with their sexual relationship a year in, and then after that it starts to go downhill.

This doesn’t mean sex with your significant starts to suck. It just means that you hit your sexual peak after one year, and then after that it’s just good, satisfying, look-you-in-the-eyes sex.

The researchers who completed this study hypothesized that this peak happens because couples have spent a year learning what turns each other on, how they like to be touched, kissed, etc. They think that couples “become familiar with each other’s sexual preferences and thus improve their skills in order to pleasure each other.”

If you can’t be bothered with guys, there’s nothing wrong with going solo.
