While I was flipping around my endless amount of cable channels that never seem to have anything on (seriously, it’s time to #cutthecord), I happened upon an old favorite: “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.” Even though I’ve seen it 800 times, I sat and watched the trials and tribulations of Carmen, Tibby, Bridget, and Lena…not to mention a whole lot of cute Kostas. And now news comes that a third installment of the series is on its way.
While promoting her new film/directorial debut, “Paint It Black,” this weekend at the Los Angeles Film Festival, Tibby/Amber Tamblyn confirmed that a third movie is definitely happening, saying, “I have no information about [a release date], but I can obviously tell you that something is definitely in the works.”
The second installment of the series hit the screens in 2008, and I honestly can’t remember what the hell happened in that one, but I’m still excited to see the friends back on the big screen. Although unfortunately for us, we might have to wait a while. Blake Lively is pregnant with her second child, Alexis Bledel had a baby recently and is busy with the Netflix reboot of “Gilmore Girls,” and America Ferrera’s sitcom “Superstore” just got picked up for a second season. But the quartet is best friends in RL, so they will definitely make it happen. Now, is it too much to hope for a Ryan Reynolds cameo?.
