When you think of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, you visualize the wings, lingerie, and sexy bodies that you might achieve if only you gave up ice cream and booze. Every year the show goes on, and women tweet about how jealous they are of the models and how fab the getups are. But what happens to those jaw-dropping ensembles after the shows has always been a mystery, until now.
According to Footwear News, some select pieces from the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show are now displaying in the Victoria’s Secret flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York City. This exhibit, now officially titled the Victoria’s Secret Museum, presents head-to-toe glamorous ensembles from the pageant.
Let’s not forget the show comprised the gray number that Bella Hadid wore while strutting past The Weeknd. Oh, and the bondage look Gigi Hadid showed off in. Kendall Jenner, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Stella Maxwell, and Taylor Hill were also a few of the 51 drop-dead sexy models featured on the runway that evening. This museum does not feature every look from the show, but the spotlight-stealers and their wings will definitely be there.
In addition, a roster of every single Angel who has ever walked down the VS runway is also on display in the museum. This includes everyone from Tyra Banks to Candace Swanepoel to Kendall Jenner. And to top it all off, this display has been autographed by all of the women who walked in the 2016 show, as if seeing the roster itself wasn’t sweet enough.
Science museums are cool and all if you’re into bugs, space, mummies, and God knows what else. But for those of us who really don’t care about rocks and other science-y things, we now have an excuse to sound smart and say, “Let’s go to the museum!” if we are ever in NYC..
