You know who I have a big, giant girl crush on? Chrissy Teigen. You know, the super model who fights Instagram daily to post topless photos. She’s constantly proving that she’s perfect by reminding us of things like her stretch marks, her love of post-sex carbs, and the general fact that she’s weird AF.
And if that wasn’t enough, it’s pretty obvious that her relationship with John Legend actually perfect. So perfect, in fact, they’re literal relationship goals for most of us. Cold, hard, “let me just cry into my bottle of wine because I’m so alone” goals. Because, just look.
I mean, all they do is eat, and have sex, and play with dogs, and be famous, and have perfect lives. So it should really be no surprise that someone decided to make a sitcom about them.
Yeah, that’s right. An actual television show is being made based off of our favorite celebrity couple. Kenya Barris, the creator of “Black-ish,” will be at the helm of the project, and is planning to work closely with Chrissy and John to make it as flawless as their relationship.
From Buzzfeed:
“It’s inspired by them — they’re both super creative and super effusive and I’m just fans of them and everything they stand for,” Barris said in a phone interview of Legend and Teigen, who are working as producing partners on the project. “I’m really excited about it.”
The show’s tentative title, Ordinary People, comes from Legend’s 2004 Grammy-winning track of the same name. “I feel that song serves a thematic background for the show,” Barris said.
Basically, it’s going to be the best thing to happen to television in awhile. Personally, I hope they decide just to use the couple for the roles on the show. It can be like the Kardashians, but good. Besides, we already know that they have the chemistry, they’re relatable, and Chrissy has proven that she can not only act, but she’s funny as hell.
I have no idea when it’s coming out but honestly, does it matter? I spend my entire life in front of the television, so there’s no way this is getting past me. My future plans include buying Chrissy’s cookbook, making that insane cheesy bread she’s always posting, and watching their love life unfold on television.
God, I’m so alone..
