Boys are great. They look awesome in V-necks, they have no problem opening jars or killing bugs, and for the most part, they make life hysterically interesting.
However, while they’re fun to look at and even more fun to play with, they’re not known for being fun when their inflated egos get tarnished. We do our best to let them down easily, but every now and then, they turn into man-child monsters. This has been known to happen to guys ages 16 to 116 when you reject them, regardless of whether they wanted your love, your body, or your attention.
The fragile male ego just doesn’t take too kindly to rejection, and whether it’s because they feel invincible behind a screen, because they were never loved as children, or because they have small feet, they can sometimes get ruthless in their responses. One Instagram account, called Bye Felipe, has decided to expose the men who let their libidos and tempers get the best of them. It documents the most ridiculous and transparent messages sent from boys who got their feelings hurt.
Here are some real gems.
It has recently blown up, with 183,000 followers to date, and with good reason. Women can submit texts, messages, or emails showing what these sad boys said, and Bye Felipe will post them for the world to see. You pulled through, technology.
These guys are so pathetic that it’s hysterical. The best part is, most of us have been there. We call it quits with a guy and suddenly we go from being “beautiful” to being a “slutty, fat cow.” The Bye Felipe Instagram account is not only liberating for women and awesome for calling out little boys on their temper tantrums, but it’s really, really entertaining.
The thing is, when we get texts or messages like this, the guy thinks we get upset or curse ourselves for letting him go. In reality, we’re pouring ourselves a glass of wine, deleting his number, and chatting up that cute guy from our English class. Not before we screenshot the conversation, though, of course.
So watch out, bitter boys. Not only will we make you cry if you’re mean to us, but we’ll expose your shit on Instagram. #ByeFelipe.
