I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream, right? On the list of things most girls love, ice cream falls somewhere between wine, queso and Ryan Gosling. But what do we love even more than ice cream? FREE ICE CREAM.
And on Monday, March 16, we can get it. Participating Dairy Queen locations across the country will be offering a free ice cone to customers as part of Free Cone Day, which celebrates Dairy Queen’s 75th anniversary. Barry Westrum, DQ’s executive vice president of marketing, said in a statement:
This is all about connecting with our fans and not just about telling them, but showing them how much we appreciate their loyalty. After all, our fans have been supporting us for 75 years, so we thought it would be fun to bring the celebration to them.
The company is hoping that people who come in for a free cone will also make a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which will be used to treat children at 170 children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada. Free ice cream that benefits kids in need? That sounds delicious to us. Plus, everyone knows that calories don’t count when they’re for charity..
