Today Only: Uber Will Deliver Kittens To Your Door

When it comes to things we love, we can basically narrow them down to three things:

1. Staying inside our apartments.
2. Baby animals.
3. Celebrating pointless holidays.

With that in mind, today just became the best day of all time, because it’s National Cat Day. And we fucking love cats.

Cats are fabulous. They’re sassy, they’re adorable, and they just get us. If we could have a whole house of cats and no friends, it wouldn’t even be a contest. But, because of money and trying to trap boys into becoming our husbands, we can’t do that–yet. However, we can do the next best thing and rent a kitten.

Yes, in honor of National Cat Day, Uber is teaming up with Cheezeburger and the ASPCA to combine everything we love by delivering kittens to our doorstep. Just when you thought you couldn’t love Uber any more for giving you cheap rides home when you’re drunk and crying, this happens.

Between noon and 4 p.m. today, if you live in one of the seven cities that Uber is offering this for (Austin, Chicago, D.C., New York, Phoenix, San Francisco, and Seattle) you’ll have the chance to participate in UrberKITTENS. All you have to do is open your app, request the “KITTENS” option, and wait for the best day of your life to start. It costs $30 for 15 minutes of hardcore kitten snuggles. All the proceeds go to the participating animal shelter in your city, and most of the kittens are up for adoption. And let’s be real, you’re going to adopt a kitten.

If you’re not the “adopting an adorable kitten” type (read: you’re a shitty person) then hell, you get to take pictures with a baby animal and never have to clean a litter box. Win-win.

Naturally, the demand for UberKITTENS is extremely high, because, well, it’s a service that brings kittens to your doorstep, so they suggest being patient–something most of us aren’t good at. My advice? Open that app ASAP and get your order in. In the meantime, practice your Instagram filters and get your hashtags ready, because you are about to make every other person in the entire world jealous. That sounds like a purrrrfect National Cat Day to me. #UberKITTENS
