4. Gwyneth Paltrow Went to the Oscars
I knew 2012 was off to a great start when Gwyneth Paltrow walked the Oscar runway in the most epic Tom Ford dress ever. Gwen, the most entitled, bitchy, rude actress there is (I love her), showed up in a white Tom Ford number that included a cape. A CAPE. I died. I literally started crying. Gwen’s look was so perfect because it was just brave enough to show people she could still take fashion risks, and do it right. It also became totally obvious that Gwen does not give a fuck. She wore a cape to the Oscars and stole the entire show, even though she wasn’t nominated for a damn thing. Everyone thinks the Oscars are all about Meryl Streep and Kate Winslet, and Gwen was all like, “Whatever, I’ve been here too, so suck it.” She’s an inspiration to us all.
