You guys, a senior at the University of Florida has come forth to right the wrongs, and shed light on all the social injustices going on — not in the world, or in politics, or in schools, or socially in this country — but within the student government at UF.
#NotMySystem: The Truth About Student Government at UF
Student Government at the University of Florida is run behind closed doors and we want to open them. The System is real. Hear it from someone who was at the top of it. #NotMySystem

I’m not very political, but the main message I got out of this is that 18-year-olds vote for their friends, and for friends of friends when it comes to bullshit school elections. I’ll admit, the dramatic documentary music and powerful “united front” speech was distracting, but at the end of the day, I’m not sure quite how ~corrupt~ the system is.
Perhaps Greeks have certain advantages, because they have a network built in for them. The same could be said for high school student governments. People vote based on reputation, rather than merit, because frankly, they don’t give a shit. The same, still, could probably be said for our real government where this actually matters. And if that’s the case, well, I think Otter says it best.
Case closed. Shut it down..
