I ALWAYS pick it out, then find something way better….buy it….then repeat. It’s a vicious cycle…but by the end at least I have pretty much the next few weeks set up!
What second grade kid is going to think some random guy in a suit opening his briefcase to share his agenda with them is interesting… as oppose to a firefighter, dressed in uniform, or a police officer offering to give rides in his car? Obviously those are going to be the “popular” choices to that audience.
Haha everyones dad had the boring job in my elementary school- Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers/ CEO’s, big business owners, etc. Not something kids care to hear about, but we were all reaping the benefits!
I agree. I’m picky about dresses and such but if I need super casual stuff for any reason, I’m all about saving my money- then I have more for the “expensive” items and can justify them 🙂

I’ll rephrase that to just families in general who don’t care enough to train their kids otherwise. Of course I had manners before I was in a sorority. GDI isn’t just referring to Greek life. It’s become a certain way of life, and originally referred to politics. And, I don’t see how I have my head in my ass? I think anyone would agree with me that it is a nuisance and shameful to see kids 4+ having a fit like they clearly don’t know better…just like it is when you see kids that age still sucking on pacifiers.
I’m sure you didn’t…when you were old enough to differentiate between what’s acceptable behavior and what is not. However, that is something that has to be INSTILLED in a child. If you try to tell a one year old they can’t have something, they ARE going to throw a tantrum, no matter how “well polished” you think they are. That is precisely why you have to begin teaching them that’s not how to get their way at a young age…even though it will take a while to sink in. Having well behaved children is not all natural- it’s all about how you raise them…. that’s why you see so many GDI families with 9 and 10 year old kids flailing around because they didn’t get their way…they were too lazy to teach them what’s right and what’s wrong. It’s not easy at all, but snaps to the OP that she is planning on controlling her kids, I guess.
Oh really? Because I have been there- I have been as small as 95 at 5’8. I looked AWFUL….couldn’t find clothes to fit, my rib cage poked out, and I looked sick…so no, when I’ve been there, I would not consider myself to be an “ignorant fool”. If you look good that thin, more power to you- but most don’t. There is no reason to be nasty, I’m sorry that my comment seems to have offended you.
Furthermore, I never said anyone who weighs less than 125 is anorexic, nor do I have self image issues. When I was that small it was nothing I did on purpose…I was never anorexic, nor would I assume that someone else was JUST because of their weight. The only thing I said about anorexia is that I’m sick of the posts that allude to it- abuse of adderall, gum diets, etc.
I’ll therefore retract my statement about anything under 125 not being pretty- it IS possible to look good…as long as you’re healthy. There’s no “right” or “wrong” weight- it’s all about lifestyle choices, genetics. It was hypocritical for me to state that, then say to not pay attention to apologize. However, it was unnecessary to call me an “idiot” simply for stating my opinion. Not very classy at all.
Amen! It makes me sick to see all these girls abusing their father’s money. I respect my dad because he has money for a REASON- he’s such a hard worker and has instilled that in my siblings and I. Every penny he has he has worked for, and I would never go out and spend tons of HIS money on clothes and other things, let alone brag about it! Money doesn’t make a person a “good” or “respectable” human being.
A tastefully done tattoo doesn’t bother me- it’s not on my body. However, piercings…especially on peoples face, just look unnatural and like they should be wiped off.
