Does anyone else think it’s funny that the most Panhel love is in this post? We aren’t tearing each other apart! It’s nice, isn’t it?

Same for her! She goes to the same school as my other sister who is a DG and she has tons of friends from all the sororities! My sister was a little upset she didn’t go DG, as we are legacies, and there is no chapter at my school, but she brought up a valid point: there’s a difference between a “GDI” and an “independent.” I take everything I read on here with a grain of salt because it is the internet and I’m sure over half the people on here are typing their condescending replies to posts doing exactly what they claim is NF, wearing Holllister and Old Navy flip flops, have piercings/ tattoos, etc. Long story short, if people read this website wanting an accurate depiction of ALL Greek life, they are sorely mistaken. Also, the ones who claim to not associate with these “independents” are full of it…I’m not about to stop being friends with people who have been there for me my entire life because they don’t have letters. Or, I’m sure some high schoolers read some of the petty comments/ posts on here and want nothing to do with us. I know I wrote a book…just procrastinating 🙂

I love AD Pi’s as well! I thought it could have been a bit more creative, but that’s okay. I think Chi O is the best of the recent ones…but poor Delta Gamma! I was thinking the anchors would be super easy for them to come up with something, but I guess not…

Agreed. People also don’t realize that there are “GDI’s” that have money, belong to the same country clubs, are in high society, and *gasp* have class! My younger sister decided not to join a sorority simply because she had other interests that she wanted to pursue and only has so much free time for extra curricular activities with her majors and volunteering wherever she can. I’m so sick of the idea that every “GDI” wears Hollister and has no class. Hopefully all you classy ladies were just as classy before affiliating with the Greek system.

I’m definitely not denouncing the Greek system, I am so glad I am involved, but it simply isn’t something that appeals to everyone.

I don’t know which is grosser…your comment or the fact that (I’m guessing) you’re a TKE. But I guess if you are, that comment should come as no shock to any of us.

Be careful with the redbull and (I’m guessing) adderall— you really can have a seizure mixing the two. I made the mistake of doing that once and I thought I was having a heart attack.

And what are we jealous of? I’m pretty sure all of our cars also have mirrors….we just choose to use them for what they are made of…because we have enough self esteem to not have to look at ourselves every two seconds to make sure we still look good….

So true! I’m one of the “older girls” now, but I remember my first recruitment after initiation. It brought us all so much closer!

Keeping your legs closed in pictures is probably more effective, but I agree with my wonderful sister above that if it’s that short, you probably shouldn’t be wearing it to begin with! Like I read on someone’s twitter: “If you can’t wear it in front of nana, you probs shouldn’t buy it”.

Exactly. And the “unfortunate” ones you speak of will probably work twice as hard to stay a part of it than the ones who knew they were shoo-ins. If you trust your ritual at all, you will understand that there are specific reasons each of those girls were chosen. Give them the benefit of the doubt, and as SratFifthAve said, take them to the gym and shopping with you. They obviously look up to you, so they can learn from your example.
