I love this entire discussion. You ladies have such great taste so I’m hoping you’ll be able to help me out. I’m looking for a small (think just for the essentials), light brown leather cross body bag for tailgating and haven’t been able to find one that I love enough to commit to. I’m not really into embellishments on my bags as I’d like it to be as neutral as possible. Any ideas where I can find something similar to what I described?

That ezine article is a poor excuse to get your dose of vitamin D, when you can easily get it from day-to-day sun exposure being outside going to class or whatever (without baking in the sun) and having a healthy diet. It’s just an article to defend the use of using tanning beds. The author does not state their credentials or sources, so of course they can say whatever they want.
So I bought a Lilly dress in hotty pink and am now looking for a pair of heels to dress it up for when I have grad school interviews, but I’m kind of stuck on what color to look for. I doubt I will want to (or be able to) match the pink and the other color in the dress is white, and I cannot bring myself to do white shoes other than espadrilles. Would nude be acceptable or do I need to go for pink/white? If you ladies have any suggestions I would love the link
NUDE PUMPS, so great. Something with a heel that’s not too high.
Dolce Vita has some great ones.
I agree with 1772. Nude pumps are classy, and look great with other dresses too. I think it would look more sophisticated than the pink and white But that’s just my opinion!
You’re wearing a Lilly dress to an interview? That is not professional or appropriate.
You totally might be right, I’m just against suits and I always feel like dress pants are frumpy. Its a grad interview so I’ll want to show some personality. I mean sure the hotty pink is bright, but its my color and kinda describes me in a way I think would be good for grad school. Even if it were a job interview, I don’t want to work somewhere that won’t have me because I wore something colorful, and I bet you don’t either.
It depends on the company and work environment. I played it safe for nursing job interviews with a pantsuit and heels, but if I were applying to a company that has a creative environment, I would wear a Lilly dress. And a grad school interview is different than a corporate job interview, IMO but I definitely do my research first.
I remember reading those thread of comments. You’re right, it depends on the girl and what skin tone looks good on her. For me, I’m naturally olive and tan easily, but always am putting on sunscreen to prevent wrinkles!
Daisy you seriously just proved you cannot read. Frattastic said you would be known as “The Slam Piece” at every Frat, meaning every Frat will know you as that. That clearly means he knows you’re a girl. (Read: GIRL. Not Woman).
So learn to interpret before you speak. I cannot stand people that spat out rude comments when they don’t even get it right.
And I agree with AOII Ruby, this is Total Sorority Move. You’re not in a sorority. Go away.
Ladies, thank you so much for the wonderful rush fashion advice! The dream I’ve had since I found out I was having a girl came true yesterday as I watched my precious daughter run with open arms toward my house!!! I can hardly wait til initiation for her to become my sis
Congratulations! I remember seeing your post, and I’m so happy for you, and I know that will be my lifelong dream until my future daughters go through rush too. Cheers!
That’s not a TSM. That’s embarrassing.
Just found these sequined ones: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/sperry-top-sider-bahama-sequined-boat-shoe/3167005?origin=keywordsearch&resultback=215
I really like Dooney and Bourke’s leather bags. I have a few of their vinyl ones too, such as their nylon crossbody bag: http://www.dooney.com/OA_HTML/ibeCCtpSctDspRte.jsp?section=48741
I also have a few vintage all-weather leather cross body bags from Dooney, which I love.
For what you’re looking for, I recently bought this in the “Natural” color and I love it: http://www.dooney.com/OA_HTML/ibeCCtpSctDspRte.jsp?section=53983
They also have this in their Florentine collection: http://www.dooney.com/OA_HTML/ibeCCtpSctDspRte.jsp?section=54003

And you didn’t do that in high school? That’s what girls fashion is mostly about. I hope you didn’t dress too skank-ily before…
Great article, and very relate-able.
You’d think in AZ you wouldn’t need a tanning bed…
NOW that the new Lilly Sorority Prints are out, that is my absolute must have, even if I do have to be a little patient!
On Lilly’s Facebook page!!!!
Hahaha that’s a pretty funny comment fratless, but I agree with sperrys..they are cute.
You are brave! I could never muster up the courage to do that.

Thank you Pi Phi, it is getting old, and making assumptions based on where someone is from is juvenile.

Wow real original hazeway. Keep those kitchen jokes coming.
Why is this a TSM? Bad parking, NS.

Sorry this doesn’t compare to getting a deluxe mani/pedi. It’s just water.
Congratulations! I remember seeing your post, and I’m so happy for you, and I know that will be my lifelong dream until my future daughters go through rush too. Cheers!
