If you look at VPPR and Licensing job aids for us, it’s stated in there that the technical names are what I put. Never said it was offensive. Just saying it’s technically wrong.
I think what bothers me most about this is that it is either written as Delta Delta Delta or Tri Delta. Never “Tri Delt.” I know that’s probably only bothering me, but still. It’s wrong.
Your point of being held to a higher standard: YES. So much yes. There’s a difference in thinking we are superior to others because of our letters and holding ourselves to higher standards because of our letters. (I don’t know if that’s really the point you were making, but I just had to put that part out there haha)
This is the third year I’ve served as an officer for my chapter. Last year, I was on Standards and this year I’m the VP of my chapter. While it does have its awful moments that make me want to scream at half my chapter, it has also been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. I get to listen to the opinions of all my sisters (good and bad) and take those opinions to help better our chapter. I’ve gotten close to our advisors and even people in our executive office. I would hate to have a younger member of my chapter come across this. They are the future of all of our chapters and this is so discouraging to those of them looking to hold an exec office.
The baby that ends up with them for parents is going to be so lucky! Best wishes on this adventure!

Hate the caption, but love the ring.

She’s not wrong. Not everyone uses their maiden name for monograms once they’re married. Maybe she doesn’t want to use it anymore.
