I really don’t care what a guy’s major is, as long as it is something that he can get a legitimate, well-paying job with later on in life. That includes engineering, business, and any science (bio or chem) for me.
Eating disorders are neither NS or TSM; they affect many people, Greek and Geed alike. They really shouldn’t be joked about either; I have a friend who is dealing with bulimia right now, and I don’t take these sorts of things lightly.
Oh and everyone gets the sh*ts. That’s neither NS or TSM either. That’s just life.
I love Pottery Barn, and was so excited when I saw this! I have to have the huge calendar to keep track of events and school, and this actually makes it look cute and fun!
omg i had no idea they carried greek items! the stuff they have is so cute! i may have to buy something from there…
These are my own personal fashion rules:*Chacos: Hiking ONLY!*Rainbows: Running errands.*Any other dressier sandal: class, out to dinner, etc.*Heels: more formal events.*Norts: class but no more than twice a week.*Soffees: gym ONLY!*Oversized Tees: gym or w/norts*Shorts/Skirts/Dresses have to be an appropriate length*Tote bags: either sorority related or Vineyard Vines*Purses: doesn’t matter as long as it’s cute
Now I know some people were hit hard by the recession so knockoffs are acceptable if you cannot afford the more pricier clothing. Pearls, on the other hand, should be 100% real, trust me the splurge is worth it. Also you should think about investing in a nice watch.
I can agree with this. Leggings are a staple, especially in the colder months. Everyone in Tennessee pairs them with Uggs. Plastic sunglasses (usually bright colors) with croakies are also popular here. Pearl earrings are nearly an everyday occasion, even with norts. I personally hate wearing tennis shoes, so i usually wear flip flops (sorry guys) and i think chacos are cute to class. I live in East Tn (alot of mountains), everyone wears them on my campus because walking around campus is like a hiking trip in itself. Personally, dresses are my favorite. I really love Forever 21′s dresses and I usually always wear a cardigan over them. Being a cheerleader for 12 years, I’ve accumulated a TON of soffee shorts and some people say they are NS, but what sport is more sratty than cheerleading? Soffees are cheerleading shorts! But still, i usually only wear them to the gym or to sleep in. I love side satchel bags, especially for going out. Northface jackets are a must, I have 3 in various colors. Sperry’s are essential. I don’t have any vera bradley bags, but I do love my i.d keychain. Northface backpacks are big at my school too. I also have a kavu bag, which is kind of for hiking, but seeing as how my school is very outdoorsy, they’re pretty popular… thoughts on kavu bags anyone? OH. and I love toms!!
I totes agree with everything! I know what it’s like to have a mountain of Soffees after cheering for so long, but I had to retire mine. I’m sorry, but they are def NS. Go with Norts for sure. I LOVE my Kavu bags. They are perfect casual bags to pair with simple sundresses and such. The crossbody bags are the best and hold way more than any clutch can. I love mine for game days, so I wouldn’t have to worry about getting my nice bags dirty. Check out Francesca’s Collection for cute dresses too. They have the same look as ones in Forever 21, but are a better quality for the price.
I have a ton of soffe shorts too (from dance team in high school), but I usually only wear them around the sratcastle/to bed/to the gym. If I wear a sorority/frat tee, I usually pair it with cute jeans/denim shorts, flats, headband, and a cardigan (when it’s cold). This is my most usuable and frequent outfit for class. I also like to wear Sperry’s (because they’re just so comfy!).
I want to do something creative with all my photos this year.
Any ideas?
What I’m planning on doing for a bunch of my pictures (including my bid day picture, which I couldn’t find a frame that fit) is buying a clear “acrylic sheet” (I don’t remember what the more common term is) from the hardware store to put on my desk that I can put pictures underneath, kind of like a flat shadowbox/collage. You could use glass as well, but it’s a bit more expensive and breakable.
I’m living out of the house for the first time and need a little help decorating my apartment. In the living room we have an all brick wall that I have no idea how to decorate. We can’t paint it since it’s rented so does anyone have any cute ideas to make this wall less boring/gross?? Our color scheme for the room is cooler colors (blues/greens).
Any advice is much appreciated
For the brick wall, you could buy a bunch of cheap frames (walmart has some good cheap ones), frame various pictures of sisters/composites/sorority-related documents and put them up with command strips (idk how they will hold up on brick though). If it’s a gloss/semigloss painted brick (cinderblocks, like in a school), you can use a low-temp hot glue gun to put stuff up. It won’t pull the paint off and will hold up well through even the worst humidity (I only know this because my parents are teachers). Otherwise you could just buy a shower curtain or a huge panel of fabric and cover the wall with that (to make it less ugly).
I got giant 3D letters to put my monogram over my bed. They came in a plain cardboard material so i painted them and added rhinestones and flowers. They look super cute so I made a pair for my roommate as well.
I love crafting letters. For my little I bought wooden letters, painted them lavender and then used to mod podge to cover them in lace. They turned out great and so unique!
For Christmas, my big bought me a wooden letter (my first initial) and painted it purple and white. It will be going on my door when I move into my sorority’s house in a week or so. I also went to Hobby Lobby and bought some chipboard letters and painted them purple, spelling out “Sigma.” I might put ribbon on them or something to jazz them up a bit 🙂
^that’s low. get some manners.
SLAM <3
omg so true! I literally spent my entire summer crafting gifts for my little. needless to say my big is proud and my sisters are jealous 🙂
^I think it’s because bows are considered a TSM by many, so if Snookie starts wearing it, that’s like giving bows a bad name.
Snaps to you from a Pre-Med Biology major! I think this is pretty much the best TSM I’ve seen in a long time 🙂 You go girl!
me too 🙂 see you on saturday! SLAM!
I appreciate the sentiment, but I’m not a Sigma Kappa.
