Thoughts on swimwear for summer? I think Vix and Vitamin A make some adorable bikinis, but some of those bottoms are cut just way too tiny! If a girl has a great body, is it ok for half her bottom to be showing (obvi, not thongs) Personally I am uncomfortable wearing the cheeky style or Brazilian cut bottoms, even though my butt is pretty much perfectly toned.

Also, anyone know of any fun and unique swimwear brands? I never get the VS bikinis because you see EVERYONE wearing them, and I get frustrated with Nordstrom’s selection.

I like Target! I feel like their selection is pretty standard but they have such a quick turnover that you can find unique pieces.

And about the bottoms being cut too small, I feel you! I don’t want my entire body on display for the world!

Personally, I love chacos. I have a pair but stick to them mostly during the summer when running around on errands or going to the beach some times. But I stick to Havianas. I don’t know how others feel about them, but I personally love them and they come in plenty of styles. As far as jewelry goes, I stick to a few staple pieces. I have my pear necklace that I wear for certain events, and then I have my thin gold chain necklace with a single diamond that sits in the middle that my parents had made for my 16th birthday that I wear every day, and I am a senior now in college. I also have a pair of matching diamond earrings that I wear every day and a pair of pearl earrings I’ll wear sometimes also. Norts are always necessary for every day, from going to class to the gym back to the house, they work every where. They can get pricy, if you’re on a budget, start out with two pairs and just keep collecting them every few weeks. You’ll have plenty before you know it. Longchamp is my choice for a purse, its classic, ranges in size, and goes with everything. Stick with tie die if its for a mixer, or some other IFC/Panhellenic event.

I still vehemently despite chacos. But love Havianas! They’re comfy; they have a wide range of colors and styles and have cute ones that have rhinestones and such on. Boat shoes are a staple. I have the chocolate brown and light brown sperrys in the bluefish style. I also have some cute flats and sandals that don’t flip and flop I reserve for sundresses, dressier days and whatnot. I also have my nike running shoes I tend to wear with norts (and running!).

I have diamond studs and pearl studs I wear everyday but have “going out” pieces I wear often. I’m not big on necklaces; my cleavage is usually accessory enough. I have pearls though and wear a religious bracelet everyday as well as a righthand ring.

I have norts for the lazy days, Bermuda shorts in light green and seersucker. I like a five inch or so inseam on other shorts (gotta keep it classy!) and have a wide variety of colors.

Every self respecting sorority girl needs a go-to sundress. Lilly print optional but I do love me some Lilly!

I have a coach wallet and wristlet I sometimes carry. My books are in a monogrammed canvas tote in my sorority colors and I personally love nautical print bags so I currently am carrying a sailboat print purse from Land’s End. I like Longchamp a lot and love the customization you can do with them. They’re not super pricey either. I don’t like Louis Vuitton at all. I think it’s because it’s so knocked off and overdone. Same reason I don’t like those LV or Chanel earrings they sell at the kiosk at the mall.

When I shop for clothes, I like to go to smaller stores or boutiques are less likely to have the same thing as everywhere else. And in the never ending tie dye debate, I think tiedye for a sisterhood event or mixer is acceptable. But not overdone!

Whether or not we were part of Lilly’s original 4, I love my sorority and have plenty of cute clothes in our colors without needing a Lilly print!

I’m all for super cute homemade tees but puffy paint is reminiscent of high school powderpuff shirts. Rush order 🙂

I’m sorry but you should have moved in house after initiation if you have to live with a GDI who is that pathetic.

If you have ever actually experienced a snow fall then you would know that Uggs do not fare well in legitimate winter weather. They’re more of a novelty.
