What about backpacks? I’ve had a Vera forever but I’m so over it. I tried a tote, but I’m pre-med and all the books make it very very heavy! Thoughts on backpack brands/types?

I totally understand about the totes being heavy. I usually alternate between several totes I have, but recently by the end of the day I feel like my arm is about to fall off! I need a switch before the next school year starts. I’ve heard a lot of people like North Face backpacks, like lovemypearls said. They’re popular on my campus as well!

I have had my North Face backpack for a few years now (time for a replacement; one of the zipper pulls frayed and fell off 🙁 ) and I love it. I have Borealis in black, but now I’m leaning towards Recon in white or black. North Face is popular everywhere I think and I like to make mine a little girlier by tying cute ribbons on the handle and safety-pinning our philanthropy buttons, etc., on the front. Good luck! 🙂

Running shoes should really be about how they support and fit your foot, so I would suggest you try and find ones that fit your needs (day-to-day exercise vs. training for a running event etc). That being said, Nike has some really cute ones in with pops of neon color that are fun without looking childish. Plus they coordinate perfectly with norts! I also really love my Asics and they’re pretty popular here in Virginia.

Agreed! I love my Asics and I love my Nikes. I’m not from the South, but from what I can tell, Nike Frees are popular everywhere and perfect with norts! Asics are also popular here. Those are the two brands I stick to when it comes to running shoes.

sandwichstar, if you have to have all of that to get your way, I am truly sorry. Some of us are actually good at making our demands AND getting them. TSM.

Really? People freak out when it turns out there’s a girl who’s still in high school and not even in a sorority all over the TSM wall. Isn’t that about credibility? All I’m saying is, why isn’t this person’s name a cute play on her own sorority’s letters?

I full understand that, as Greek was one of my favorite shows. Just pointing out that having a fake sorority as your name on TSM doesn’t do a whole lot for someone’s credibility.

^Sorry to be picky, but I think you meant “voilà.” A viola is a string instrument. But I totes agree with Amy’s! Delicious and not terrible for you 🙂
