If you don’t watch How To Get Away With Murder, you should. It’s an incredible drama series with incredible acting by the truly incredible Viola Davis. Sunday night, she was the first woman of color ever to win “Outstanding Actress” for her role as the bad bitch defense attorney and law professor Annalise Keating on the show.
And her speech fucking kills.
Everyone in the audience was truly moved, as were the viewers at home, but especially black actresses Kerry Washington who visibly choked up and Taraji Henson who gave the award-winning actress a standing ovation.
