If you don’t remember the story of Ranger the goat, he was a goat who lived at the Kappa Sigma house at Tennessee Tech and incredibly popular for obvious reasons. When Ranger passed away over the summer, there was a hole left in my heart that no mere frat hound could fill. Until now.
Meet Bella Russe Buckley, an 11-week old female, white-furred, miniature goat that lives with the brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha at Penn State.
Chapter member Alex Buckley is Bella’s official dad, but he told The Tab that Bella really belongs to everyone in the chapter. “It’s a good bonding experience, all of the brothers take care of her together and everyone helps take her on walks. She has one dad and forty uncles that love her,” he said. “All of the brothers love her, literally every single person in our frat loves the goat. A lot of the time I can’t even find her because she’s always in someone else’s room. She’s never alone, there is always someone with her.”
And of course, Bella obviously has her own Insta feed, where you can keep up with her outings, including PSU’s well-known THON.
Here she is checking out the chapter composite.
Making friends with a KD.
And snoozing on the bed of rocks and hay her “uncles” made especially for her after doing some research.
I still miss Ranger, but Bella and I might just be soul sisters..
