I have a love-hate relationship with all things Taylor Swift. Her music annoys me, but I still belt it out at the top of my lungs. She’s the definition of a crazy girl, but I relate to that on a spiritual level. Honestly, I think I hate her because if I were to become a celebrity (I’m still waiting to hear back from MTV about my series pitch “Blondie Bangs Assholes Across America”), I would be the awkward Taylor Swift.
One thing I do have to hand to my girl T-Swizzle is this, her outfits are usually perfect. Of course, as of late she has gone a little more Jenny Humphrey than we would prefer, but I mean before she had the alternative (ex)boyfriend. Remember? Her street style was the outfit porn we longed for. She was somehow Serena AND Blair, the perfect mix of sexy yet sweet. That classy yet sassy look we all strive for.
I will be the first to admit I channel my inner Taylor as I scoured for the perfect outfit to embody that “good girl faith and a tight little skirt” before every first date. Sure, I thought my classic schoolgirl skirt, thigh highs, and button down shirt would do it perfectly, but then this bitch, Lotte Lutjes, entered the game. She not only let Taylor’s style inspire her, she straight up became her.
The resemblance is uncanny, to say the least. So much so that the Cat Queen herself had a hard time believing that it wasn’t her in the pictures.
Hats off to this girl for making her dream come true, because lord knows she’s dedicated. Seriously, this girl’s whole Instagram is a shrine to Taylor. All jokes aside, I do give this girl mad props.
Lutjey was diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, making it difficult for her to stand or walk. Her newfound hobby, however, has allowed her to channel her energy into something she loves. And boy, has it paid off. The best part? Lutjey is only 18 years old, and yet she is able to create these absolutely stunning outfits. Today I didn’t even wear matching socks.
I look forward to her future creations. If she wants my measurements and to send me a sample dress for formal, I wouldn’t say no..
