It’s been a messy, but equally entertaining drama fueled week in pop music over this past week. Calvin Harris came for Taylor Swift. Kim (and kind of Kanye?) came for Taylor Swift. All of Twitter came after Selena Gomez. And just when you thought you could escape the drama, and enjoy Britney (a completely drama-free popstar angel) Spears’ highly anticipated new single (#BuyMakeMeOniTunes), drama unfolded as Katy Perry surprise released her new single the same day.
All caught up now? Great. Pop culture mess aside, it’s time we focus on what really matters: the music. Remember that GRAMMY-robbed Selena Gomez song, “Everything Is Not What It Seems,” the theme to the one and only Wizards of Waverly Place? Of course you do. And I don’t know if you’re aware, but Beyoncé dropped her single “Formation” this year. You probably haven’t heard of it, so YouTube user “Adrian Mashups” decided to give the song some publicity by adding Gomez’s song to it.
And it. is. magic.
Now I don’t know about you, but I think I’m going to go look up more of this Beyoncé person’s music. .
