As a female engineering and business major, attending one of the top engineering schools in America, and in a sorority, this man’s column gives me even more self-esteem. I have a very strong maternal instinct, have since I was young, so I will take care of you like a wife and mother should, but also grew up being told I could do anything I wanted and that I could be a strong, independent woman, and I am. I feel uncomfortable when people have to take care of me, I can do it myself. Do I want a protector? Sure, that’s hot. Do I want to be dominated? The right time and place (if you know what I mean), yes, also very hot. But I am still in charge of myself. I may be a shrew “pleading for a taming” but if you do it wrong I will still bite your head off with a smile on my face. Matt Forney, sure would hate me, and all of my friends…. and the best part is… he doesn’t even have one of the occupations to which he gives the title “something real.” HA!
