    I come from a long line of teachers, mostly the men in my family. I also think that there is a difference between elementary ed and secondary ed. I think it makes sense for the girls who are crafty to be elementary ed majors because elementary school tends to be far more tactile than secondary which is more about concepts. I believe in the equality that you’re speaking of, and I understand your point of view that women are self inflicting the inequality by choosing majors that are typically geared towards women. However, I think that a lot of little girls want to be doctors or vets when they grow up, but through the growing process they learn things they are better at than science and math.

    I am too! I’m so glad that there are panhel women that are getting degrees in things we love because we want to pursue them. There is nothing wrong with a stay at home mother, but having a degree incase something happens is always a good plan

    My mamma always said I never suffered fools well… I walked away from any kid that asked me a stupid question at recess =)
