I attend a university in the SEC and have seen pretty much every sorority row in the southeast, and NONE compare to UGA’s Milledge Avenue. Every single house is a unique piece of architecture, and many of the houses are very historic. Every time I visit I love driving though and admiring all the houses!
I actually know that – don’t accuse people of not being educated for not following a trend that has died out. Being completely pale is no longer considered to be fashionable or attractive. It often makes the person look like they spend no time outdoors, which makes people think they are sickly. Having color is associated with being healthy – having a “healthy glow”. Just because we hold up the values that southern belles did does not mean we still follow their fashion trends.
I don’t know anybody in Georgia who calls them sodas.
