So this is random, but where does everyone stand on the whole feather hair extension thing?

NOT classy. I don’t really enjoy looking like a dirty hippie.

I’m on the fence about them. I think they’re kind of fun, because I would never dye my hair, but on the other hand I feel like some people are over doing them.

When I first saw them out I thought they were cute until I realized that they stay in your hair for weeks… There’s no possible way that they match every single look you do through those two months! I’d like them a lot better if they just clipped in and out. I refuse to dye my hair as well, but I’m not sure a random feather is going to go well with a natural look!

That’s my thought exactly. I think its a cute idea for something different, but I don’t know how I feel about the whole stuck with it for weeks concept. One of my sisters is getting one, so I’ll see how it works for her.

A few of my sisters have them, and while their not my style, they can be cute. They all got feathers that match the color of their hair so it isn’t really noticeable. I think if you do it that way, its a fun way it mix it up a little bit.

What are some good brands for leggings, I hate when I’m constantly having to pull them up.

I have a few pairs from American Apparel that I love, plus they have so many choices that its really easy to find exactly what you want. I also like that they are thick enough and don’t look cheap, as lots of leggings can.

Thank you SigmaSweet for this discussion! I have been wanting to hear what y’all have to say about all kinds of fads! And thank you Glitter_and_Pearls for the perfume question! I was wondering the same thing! I’m looking for a new scent but I can’t decide! There are too many to choose from! But I do love my Amazing Grace too, 1874SocietyGirl. So for right now I’m just sticking with that. Also, what are y’all’s favorite nail colors for Summer 2011? What do y’all think about the Pirate collection by OPI? Are y’all liking that or Essie’s Brazialiant collection better? And what size pearls do you all wear? Where I am from, a lot of girls love to wear huge pearls but I don’t know if that is just a regional thing? Are you all into the regular size or the larger ones? Maybe you all think that the bigger the pearl the more money you have, but I have never thought of it like that. Thanks in advance for the advice and help!Thank you all so much for creating such a great TSM community!

I don’t like big pearls on necklaces, because I think they look fake and clunky even if they’re real. I love them for earrings though!

I normally love Essie, but the Braziliant collection is a little too wild for my taste. (Then again, I never wear anything but light pink on my nails…) Delicacy is my standby color, or occasionally Fun in the Gondola, which is a little bit brighter.

Also, I’ve been meaning to ask about tanning. I love getting some summer color, but I never lay out because I don’t want wrinkles! Any thoughts about natural-looking healthy options? Good self-tanners, bronzers, etc.?

Prettylittlepearls for the bronzer question, go with St. Tropez. Its not super expensive but it works really well. But you have to get the foaming mousse, not the lotion because it spots real easy.

I really like Victoria’s Secret’s self tanners. They don’t have that nasty smell and work pretty well (it was the first kind I have used in a while and I wasn’t blotchy). They also have a really good spray that comes off in the shower if you need a little glow for an event or outfit.

Anyone going to the Lilly warehouse sale this week? I’m planning on it, it’s my first time and I’m not really sure what to expect. I’ve never been to any type of big sale before and need some tips.

I can’t believe no one has included J. Crew chino shorts! They come in so many colors, and even their shortest inseam is still very classy. They go great with Rainbows and Jack Rogers. Also, all I can think about when I see Sperrys is how everyone wore them like freshman year of high school….I just don’t see them worn by Greeks at my school, but I could be talked into the idea. Oversized Longchamp is a MUST, but every srat girl needs to have an arsenal of cute cross-over messenger-style bags for going out. I think Vera Bradley wristlets and key lanyards are fine, but moderation is always classy. Last but not least, you can’t go wrong with a classic white oxford (Ralph Lauren, anyone??).

Thank you! I love J. Crew chino shorts! Every time I’m in, I end up getting another pair. They are so fun.
