Jesus stop giving the cops a bad rep who are out to protect us and keep us safe while we go to school and party. This is entirely misleading. Nobody was tackled, and it wasn’t even 4 cops that made the arrest. The woman jaywalked (which is a huge issue here) and a cop went to cite her for it. When he tried to, she wouldn’t identify herself. She didn’t need her ID, that wasn’t the issue. All she needed was to provide the cop with her name, address, and date of birth, and she’d walk away with a measly jaywalking ticket she could probably fight pretty easily. But she decided to be an idiot and not comply with the police. When they tried arresting her, which was done according to protocol because she refused to identify, she got belligerent. She’s lucky they didn’t charge her for resisting. Yes, 2 additional cops showed up for a total of 4, but I believe that’s protocol as well when they have a belligerent subject.
