I don’t necessarily agree with hazing but you can’t let your pledges have a sense of entitlement because other than roll, you need the newer members to understand that the older sisters have been around longer and have earned the right to have that hierarchy, and that one day they will have that opportunity too. Also, if they are not taught they have to work hard as pledges, then they (from my experience) will not work as hard in their respective positions as actives (should they receive any). I have seen this a few times in my school, those sororities that pledge a massive amount of girls and have and easy pledge find that there are internal issues and girls start dropping their letters or going alum.
