On another note: people join things knowing what they are getting into in the first place. They read and people talk so if
You know some organizatioNs are More strict than others than that’s your choosing to join in the first place or not.

I read in another comment stating that they shouldn’t change the organizations rules bc someone wants to complain and I agree!

It’s just like with sports. If you don’t want to be told to run sprints or get in better shape or do push ups then don’t join. Being in an athletic organization is something similar I think but coaches aren’t getting in trouble for hazing and I’m pretty sure the people playing are aware of what the consequences if they do something they aren’t suppose to or lack there of showing up to a meeting or practice so why is it such a big thing if sororities haze. If
You want to be in something so bad, do your research and join something that doesn’t . I feel like the girls should know everything about the organization, Greek alphabet ect. I know mine till this day and it’s been a few years since I’ve gone Greek. In my sorority we were to meet with every active and inactive sister as a pledge. Not only for big and little purposes but bc they were going to be my sisters in a few weeks. Some people took it seriously and some didn’t and I felt like the ones who didn’t lacked the sister hood part which is a problem now a days not only with the putting in work part.

My biological little sisters sorority just recently got suspended for hazing. I saw what my sister went through as a pledge and it really wasn’t outrageous. It weeded out the weak bc being in a sorority is no joke and a lot of hard work and dedication. I just feel like people are so weak minded these days and quit everything that is a challenge for them and I don’t think being in a sorority is right for those people. My sister is so proud of her three letters bc she worked so hard for them. I can honestly say she came out a better and stronger person after being a pledge. Things weren’t just given to her and that’s how it is in the real world. Why do you want to bring any and everyone in an organization if they aren’t going to value the principals that the sorority upholds. If they aren’t going to show up to meetings or come around why would you allow them to be a part of what you love so much? I’m just saying that hazing is ok to an extent but from seeing it with my sister it does make you a stronger person and it does allow you to have a closer bond with your pledge class bc you have to work together to get things done and the harder things they go through mentally Well they make the best memories!
